Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>The polygon representing the extent of Clallam Couny's boundary, to the international boundary and all saltwater within the county jurisdiction. It is based on DNR county boundary lines, DNR waterbody shorelines/PLSS as the shoreline, and Clallam County parcel mapping on the east boundary of the county.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>5 Features: </SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Clallam Saltwater = DNR waterbody layer clipped to county water boundary, also from DNR</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Clallam Mainland = All contiguous land area of Clallam County, defined by above shoreline, DNR section lines on south line, and Clallam County Parcel based (mostly COGO) boundary on East line.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>island_Makah = Multipart Shape of all islands belonging to Makah Tribe (based on geographic description of ONP boundary with Makah Tribe.)</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>island_Quileute = Multipart Shape of all Quileute Tribe islands (the James Island Group)</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>island_ONP = Multipart Shape of all Pacific Islands not in either Tribe group </SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Note: There are no other islands in Clallam County mapped on DNR waterbody layer.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>DNR section lines and saltwater shoreline are coincident for virtually all of Clallam County's shoreline. Since Clallam County intends to use DNR sections as its PLSS layer in all locations not otherwise defined by COGO parcel mapping, and will integrate it's stream mapping with DNR, this shoreline comprises the most respectable and consistent shoreline data available at this time</SPAN></P><P><SPAN /></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
