Layer: Coastal Hazard Feeder Bluffs (ID: 0)

Name: Coastal Hazard Feeder Bluffs

Display Field: CoastalHzd

Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolyline

Description: Clallam County feeder bluffs are actively eroding coastal cliffs (150–300 ft high) that supply essential sediment to Puget Sound beaches, particularly in the Dungeness area. These bluffs, often composed of unconsolidated glacial deposits, erode at high rates (~1.5+ feet/year), making them significant coastal hazards. They are managed through the Clallam County Shoreline Master Program to protect property and maintain ecological functions. This is from the Coastal_Hazard feature class in esa_sed_mapping_june2013.gdb. CT created .shp 090312 to facilitate web mapping. CT selected only Feeder bluffs, offset 160 feet from shoreline for mapping visualization, and deleted the rest of the values that were from esa_sed_mapping_june2013.gdb Coastal Hazard feature class.
