Service Description: <div style='text-align:Left;'><div><div><p><span>The extent of the service areas of each Group A water system. Derived from the PWS_serv_areas.shp, which also includes Group B service areas.</span></p><p><span>Washington Group A public water systems serve 15 or more service connections or 25 or more people per day for 60 or more days a year, regulated by the </span><a href='https://doh.wa.gov/community-and-environment/drinking-water/water-system-assistance/group-community-water-systems' target='_blank' style='text-decoration:underline;'><span>Washington State Department of Health (DOH)</span></a><span> under </span><a href='https://app.leg.wa.gov/WAC/default.aspx?cite=246-290-300' target='_blank' style='text-decoration:underline;'><span>WAC 246-290</span></a><span>. They are required to obtain annual operating permits, perform regular water quality monitoring (including coliform), and undergo sanitary surveys every 3–5 years and test for contaminants including PFAS.</span></p></div></div></div>
