Description: Preliminary FEMA FIRM Flood Hazard Areas displays revised preliminary flood hazard areas updated as of January 31, 2025. The Preliminary FEMA FIRM Flood Hazard Areas data was downloaded from the FEMA site - https://hazards.fema.gov/femaportal/prelimdownload/searchLoad.action. It was saved in DATA  MAINTENANCE\FEMA\FEMAdwnload_8_12_25\FIRMDB_01312025_Clallam-County_Washington The data from the S_Fld_Haz_Ar shapefile was copied into the SDE SQLServer-cc-sql-01-GeoData-dataowner.sde\DATAOWNER.prelim_FEMA_floodhazareas feature class and published to the portal. The S_Fld_Haz_Ar table contains information about the flood hazards within the Flood Risk Project area. A spatial file with location information also corresponds with this data table. These zones are used by FEMA to designate the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA). These data are the regulatory flood zones designated by FEMA.Proposed areas are grouped by risk, flood zone, and flood frequency as follows:Area of High Flood RiskZone A | 1% Annual Chance Flood EventZone AE | 1% Annual Chance Flood EventZone AE (Floodway) | 1% Annual Chance Flood EventZone AH | 1% Annual Chance Flood EventZone VE | 1% Annual Chance Flood Event
