Layers: Description: Shoreline environmental designations have been assigned to each segment of shorelines within Clallam County Jurisdiction. This shows only the designations in Water Resource Inventory Area 20 (WRIA20). Used in the maps for the Shoreline Master Program Update approved on July 20, 2021 by Clallam Board of County Commissioners, Ordinance #972.Each segment of the shoreline has an "environment designation" that reflects its existing land use pattern, zoning, ecological condition and the types of health and safety hazards that are present (flooding, landslides, geology, and other characteristics). The environment designations, which are depicted, provide a framework for tailoring shoreline policies and regulations to different shoreline segments based on their characteristics.Source: GeoData.DATAOWNER.SED_All
