Service Description: The Clallam County Zoning layer includes all the Zoning Code (CCC Title 33).
- Also embedded in the attributes and geometry of this layer are all the components necessary to derive Cities, Tribes, Planning Areas and Subareas, Urban Growth Areas (UGAs), and the Clallam County portion of Olympic National Park (ONP). This is a county-wide tiled polygon layer (no gaps, no overlap).
- Because county zoning regulations do not apply to land within city limits, tribal reservation boundaries, or ONP, these other jurisdictions are identified as polygons on this layer, allowing it to be the master for cities and tribes, and the Clallam County portion of ONP.
- In addition, UGA zones are distinct from rural zones, so they can be differentiated. Finally Planning Areas only split a small number of polygons, so that attribute is also present.
- The only overlap between any of these attributes is the portion of the city of Port Angeles that is also within ONP. Dissolving on "ZONECODE" will generate the distinct city polygon, while dissolving on "COMPCODE" will generate the distinct ONP polygons.
